We went to Christ of the Abyss, which was amazing, and another snorkeling spot that I can’t recall the name of. We saw a large reef shark as well as a family of manatees at the dock. We came back for our 2nd trip mixed with divers and snorkelers.  They adjusted the itinerary to our needs, and made sure everyone had a wonderful time safely. We were a group of 7 and had difficult time deciding between a large tour ship and a private snorkeling tour. We are so thankful we found Island of Ventures. We were able to have a private snorkeling adventure for just our family. Most of our family were first time snorkelers and the individual instruction insured that we had a successful adventure. The snorkeling experience was just as advertised. Met on the dock at 12:30, loading immediately and receiving snorkeling instructions. The tour has several snorkeling areas to choose from allowing you to customize your experience. We made two snorkeling stops and were able to spend around 1hour at each location. The equipment was top notch with well fitting mask and snorkel with one way valve. Carrie and Michael are very professional and great advocates for the barrier reefs.
